Jews:My Jewish name?

I heard If I become Jewish, have too take on a Jewish name. So my real name is Jordan Stenhouse I was thinking Judas Stienhouse, can you think of anything better?

Jews:My Jewish name?
You get a Hebrew name, not a Jewish name. We don't speak Jewish. How about these translations of Jordan?

Reply:Lewis Black.
Reply:How about Joshua Stinkhouse?
Reply:Surely you're joking. Judas is hardly an appropriate first name for any religion, given the connotations. How about Joshua?

And you don't have to change your last name. Where did you hear that?
Reply:Not sure I can think of anything worse, in all candour!!!! :)

I'll assume you're being serious. You really don't want to go and call yourself Judas. He's the most maligned character in the Christian bible, isn't he?

Interestingly, an American theologian has now suggested that a MIStranslation from the Greek is responsible for the idea that Judas 'betrayed' Jesus. There was a whole programme on it the other day; it was intriguing.
