Hebrew/Jewish name question?

On a relatives records i saw a first name that looked like Blina,Blima,Bluna or Bluma. Now im seeing another record that it looks like Sime are these names similiar?could Sime be the same as Blime or any of the other names here?Is Selig the same as Samuel. How many other spellings are there for Samuel?

Hebrew/Jewish name question?
The boy's name Selig \s(e)-lig\ is of Old German origin, and its meaning is "blessed".

Selig has 3 variant forms: Seligman, Seligmann and Zelig.

For more information, see also the related name Seeley.

A baby name that sounds like Selig is Zelik.

Reply:As far as I am aware Sime has no relation to the 'B' names you mentioned. My guess is that she had two names such as Bluma Sime. This is common. Selig isn't the same as Samuel. Selig a variant of Zelig is taken from the German word, selig, meaning blessed. Samuel could be spelt Shmuel.
