I do.
Does anyone else have a jewish last name, but not jewish?
Do you know any Puerto Ricans named Mohammed? Or any Nordics named Xiulang? The fact is, those with Jewish surnames (ie, 'Goldstein', 'Cohen', 'Levy', etc.) are most often Jewish.
Reply:I am the other way around. My grandfather was Jewish but abandoned my grandmother with my mom still newborn. Grandma re-married and my mom was adopted my her "new daddy". She never learned about her real father, and all the info we know through grandma is my real grandfather was Jewish...period. She never wanted to get into deep details about her past. So bottom line, I had my dad's last name combined with mom's from her step-dad. All I have from Jewish is my blood.
Reply:Sure I had a guy on my job named Oswald Levy and he was from the Caribbean Islands. i asked about his name but he wouldn't tell me. don't forget about identity theft. Dont forget about Jews escaping the holocaust, some changed their names to other names and practiced other religions, some escaped persecution by just practicing other religions or pretending to practice..
Reply:no but i know someone who is jewish that doesn't have a jewish last name XD
